AIS/TAC CERTIFICATIONS

“Automotive Industry Standards,” abbreviated as AIS, are the country of India’s technical automobile standards. The UNECE standards serve as their foundation. The criteria under which automotive products in India might get a Type Approval Certificate for the Indian market are outlined in the India Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMRV). For items and components that must meet particular technical and safety standards, a Type Approval Certificate (TAC) is necessary. After clearing the certification procedure, these parts are given a TAC certificate.
