CHEMICAL FERTILIZER, LEATHER, AND TEXTILE
BIS – ISI
The ISI mark, a certification mark provided by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), is most frequently linked to goods that are high in terms of performance, quality, and safety. For particular chemicals, BIS has created a number of Indian Standards that address issues with packaging, quality, safety, and purity. Manufacturers and importers of chemicals can use these standards as recommendations and specifications to make sure that certain requirements are met.
For particular textile products, BIS has created a number of Indian Standards that address issues such as fiber composition, strength, colorfastness, dimensional stability, and labeling requirements. Manufacturers and importers of textiles can use these standards as a reference and set of criteria to make sure that certain requirements are met.
FMCS
The FMCS (Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme) is a program run by the Bureau of Indian Standards since 2000 for foreign manufacturers in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the BIS Act, 2016, and the (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. With the use of this program, producers and applicants from abroad can sell their goods in India using the standard mark, also known as the ISI Mark. The only entity that is qualified to give foreign manufacturers a BIS Certificate for import is the Foreign Manufacturers Certification Department (FMCD). The main reason BIS awards a Manufacturing certificate to foreign manufacturers is to ensure that the general public has access to high-quality, secure, and risk-free products.
EPR
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in India requires manufacturers, importers, and recyclers of chemical fertilizers, textiles, and leather to get e-waste management authorization. This certification guarantees adherence to the laws and guidelines for the responsible disposal and recycling of electronic waste.
